Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Review

This is the second time I have had the chance to sample the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer both times my hair has been in drastically different conditions so I feel I can give a well rounded review on the actual product now.

The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is a pre treatment for your shampoo. I've only ever seen this 'in action' on QVC where they claim this should add life to the hair nourish it and help with the stretchy feeling of over processed hair.

I used this as directed and kept the product away from my roots as I have fine hair and it can weigh it down. My hair on first use of this sample was overly bleached had a lot of stretch, was very dry and brittle. The second bottle of this my hair was in good condition slightly dry ends (I do have dry ends and greasy roots) but just needed a bit of extra bourisment to give a bit of shine to my hair.

Whenever I have used this product I am sad to say I have been disappointed. With my bleached hair it added no extra moisture and did nothing for the stretchy feeling my hair had. I expected with regular use the hair to improve in texture but it just didn't. When my hair has been in better condition even while concentrating this on my hair ends I find it heavy in my hair and makes my roots a lotore oily a lot faster. Not really ideal. I do not know if this is just because I have fine hair and it is too rich for it but it really doesn't make a lot of difference, I would just rather put a bit of hair oil in my hair!  The fact that this adds an unnecessary step in shampooing my hair irritates me too! I like to shampoo add a bit of conditioner if needed and get out of the shower asap I do not really need the hassle of adding in another 5-10 minutes into the routine!

Have you tried the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer? What are your thoughts on it?

Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Mask

After trying a few different face masks I have found that I like masks I can really see working, drawing out gunk and oil from my face! This pore penetrating mask is often on offer in avon so I figured I would give it a go!

The mask starts out a dark charcoal colour, it does feel difficult to put on, it doesnt look an even layer you may still see your skin through it, it feels a bit sticky, but it does eventually go on and it doesnt matter if it is an uneven layer.

It dries to a light grey colour so it is easy to tell when you need to wash off this mask. The best thing about this is you can see it drawing out excess oil in your face, small darker dots appear in the mask.

Once the mask is dry after about 10 minutes you wash it off and pat your face dry. I love that i can see and feel the difference this makes to my skin it helps to draw out spots and excess oil. It can feel tight on the skin while drying but that is about the only issue I have with this mask! I also think it could be a cheaper alternative to the glam glow mud mask!

Makeup Of The Day

I have been trying out some new concealers and just having a play about with makeup today before work! I used Smoke from Mac and some deep purple colours on my lid.

I don't think I put enough on as they didn't show up that well I must find a good eye primer!

On my lips I have Maybelline Lip drama I red essential. I have a little review of this on my YouTube channel here http://youtu.be/tCwwDgJ0WmI

Making The Most Of Your Money This Christmas

Christmas is always a stressful time, with the pressure of buying people gifts and shops and adverts saying get this thing and spend all your money here, it is difficult to find the savings. However I think facebook selling pages are becoming more popukar and you can find some great bargains if you look hard enough.

The pages can be filled with new unused unopened unwanted gifts that could be got for a decent price! I got my moms christmas gift off a selling page.

I got her a swarovski wrap bracelt for £20 delivered. The bracelet is still available online and retails for £45 so I had a pretty good saving!

If you are looking to go down this route to get a few gifts this year I have a few tips for you.

Offer to pay via paypal that way you can still have some buyer security.

Arrange to see the items before you commit to buying especially if it is something electrical!

Look for tell tale signs of fake items especially in regards to makeup!

Haggle with the price you will be surprised at the offers some people accept for items they do not want!

Hope you have a merry christmas and remember it is the special memories that make christmas not just the gifts you give x
